Diabetes Nurse Practitioner Role

The North West Diabetes Centre is seeking an experienced and skilled nurse practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality care to patients with diabetes.

  • Job Description: The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic team to develop, provide, and evaluate diabetes clinical/community nursing care that ensures optimal patient/client/family and community outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and evaluate diabetes clinical/community nursing care that meets the needs of patients, clients, families, and communities.
  2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve clinical service outcomes through effective research and quality improvement activities.
  3. Contribute to statewide and nationally in research, publication, and education in the specialty of diabetes.
  4. Lead, advise, and mentor other senior nurses practicing in the field of diabetes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Endorsement to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Australia.
  • Advanced competence in evidence-based nursing practice in diabetes, with an awareness and understanding of internal and external service needs.

Eligibility:
