We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Our restaurant is known for serving high-quality dishes, and we are looking for someone who can ensure the preparation of each meal meets our standards.
- Preparation and cooking of various menu items according to our recipes.
- Carving and trimming food to prepare it for different dishes.
- Maintenance of cleanliness and sanitation standards at all times.
- Quality control of foodstuffs before service.
- Temperature regulation of ovens, grills, and other kitchen equipment.
- Seasoning, garnishing, and cooking food as per standard recipes.
- Portioning food accurately according to customer orders.
- Proper storage of food in temperature-controlled facilities.
- Food preparation to meet special dietary requirements.
- Estimation of food requirements for daily service.
- Minimisation of food waste.
- Staying updated on industry trends and developing new recipes with the Head Chef.
- Training and mentoring junior staff members on cooking techniques and kitchen procedures.
- Stock management, including replenishment and rotation.
- Effective vendor relationships and prompt issue resolution.
- Ensuring a clean and safe work environment that adheres to our high standards.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working in Asian, South American, and European cuisines.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Chef in a full-service restaurant setting.
- Passion for creating innovative menu items.
- Professionalism and a positive attitude at all times.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strict adherence to food safety protocols.
- Strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
