Remote Area Midwife Opportunity

Role Overview

As part of our dynamic, multi-disciplinary teams, you will work collaboratively to provide holistic, community-centered care across East Arnhem Land.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional antenatal and postnatal care to clients in remote communities, prioritizing cultural respect and community resilience.
  • Work in tandem with the Aboriginal Health workforce to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality services.
  • Contribute to sustainable health outcomes through targeted interventions and community-led initiatives.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A current Registration and Practicing Certificate as Registered Nurse and/or Midwife through AHPRA.
  • 5 years' experience working in Maternal and Child Health, with a focus on remote settings.
  • A current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate and relevant qualifications.
  • Midwifery Upskilling (MIDUS) certificate and/or ALSO certificate, ensuring expertise in up-to-date clinical practices.
  • A current accredited immunisation certificate recognized in the NT, as well as Well Women's Health Course certification.
  • Remote Pharmacotherapeutic Certificate and manual driver's license, enabling effective practice and mobility.
  • 3 – 5 years post-graduate experience, demonstrating advanced clinical skills and competencies applicable to remote settings.
