About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Service Manager to lead the Service Department in a permanent full-time capacity at Penske Select Australia.

This unique position is suited for both experienced Service and Workshop Managers, or an experienced service Advisor looking to take the next step.

Based in Essendon Fields, your role is crucial in the productive running of the service department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of technicians, delegating tasks and overseeing their work to ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Manage efficiencies and productivity of pre-owned Prestige vehicle reconditioning and Holden certified and AC Delco service teams.
  • Manage and assist in retail and fleet service/repair enquiries.
  • Ensure all team functions are performed safely to a high quality, and both internal and external customer expectations are met at all times.
  • Drive an ongoing improvement culture in Safety, Quality and Productivity for the Service Department.
  • Monitor and maintain workshop equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Manage new and existing service contracts.
  • Identify and monitor areas for improvement, including the management of daily work in progress.
  • Provide solutions in a customer-facing role.

About You:

  • Proven experience and success as a Workshop Controller or Service Manager.
  • A hands-on operator with a focus on maximising results.
  • Availability to work five days a week, plus occasional Saturdays if required.
  • RWC Licence would be an advantage.
  • Current driver's license (manual and automatic).
  • Experience with Prestige brands repair and reconditioning.
  • Work ethic and reliability.
  • Experience with Titan DMS an advantage.
