Learning Support Assistant

About the Role:This position is responsible for assisting educators and students with educational activities and school events. You will also be required to communicate effectively and display high-level interpersonal skills as an effective team member.
- Support in developing initiatives that promote productive partnerships between individuals and group members of the community.
- Maintain accurate records on students for reviewing their development.
- Display discretion, tact, reliability, and sensitivity to students and their families.
- Support in supervising educational activities under the direction of a teacher.
The successful candidate will contribute to the welfare, health, and safety of students and assist teaching staff with playground/bus supervision.
They will also contribute to the delivery of first aid and ensure that qualifications are kept current.
Requirements:A mandatory requirement of this role is a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
It is a genuine occupational requirement that this position be filled by an Aboriginal person or a Torres Strait Islander person as set out in Section 7 of the Anti Discrimination Act 1991.
Verification of Aboriginality and/or Torres Strait Island heritage may be requested from applicants.
