Play and Learn Early Learning Centre

Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and experienced (preferred but not necessary) educator to join our team. As an Educator, you will play a pivotal role in creating a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for our children. You will work collaboratively with a team of educators to assist in delivering high-quality care and education that meets the individual needs of each child in alignment with the EYLF and the National Quality Framework.

As an Assistant Educator you will be responsible for:

  • Assist with the managing and running of the classroom and supervision of the children in the centre.
  • Float and help with lunch relief in various age groups.
  • Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Provide a nurturing and supportive environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  • Setting up experiences, cleaning and general hygienic upkeep of indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care as minimum
  • Current First Aid, CPR, and Anaphylaxis Management certifications (or willingness to obtain)
  • Working with Children Check (required)
  • Previous experience working in a similar role (preferred not required)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
