About the Role

Job Overview

We're looking for skilled Blasting Technicians to implement our innovative WebGen technology in the North-East Metals Region (Queensland, Papua New Guinea & Pacific Islands). As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for managing the safe, effective and reliable implementation of all elements of a WebGen Service.

This role will work on an 8-on-6 roster and be based out of Townsville, Brisbane, or Cairns. We're flexible and willing to consider the right candidate.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide product stewardship support to customer stakeholders on site
  • Work within the technical services team to deliver high quality blast results and value to customers operations
  • Partner with customers to develop true longstanding relationships
  • Deliver safety initiatives that align with Orica's and customer values
Requirements
  • A current shotfiring license
  • Experience using EBS systems is an advantage but not mandatory
  • Genuine enthusiasm to deliver innovative technology to customers
  • Strong communication skills and ability to quickly pick-up and master new systems and technologies
  • A problem-solving mindset, new technology can bring unique challenges, a calm approach facing high tension scenarios will drive success
  • Process driven and procedurally disciplined
