Research Assistant Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced research assistant to join our dynamic team at the University of Wollongong's Innovation Campus.

About the Role

This is a full-time, level 6/7 appointment with a salary range of $88,865 - $110,039 + 17% Superannuation. The successful candidate will be based at our Innovation Campus and work collaboratively with the Department of Health and Aged Care's multi-agency project, National Palliative Care Coordination (NPCC).

Key Responsibilities
  • Support research activities in collaboration with the Australasian Health Outcomes Consortium.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of coordination between primary care and palliative care services.
  • Collaborate with the NPCC to improve the recognition of palliative care needs and ensure accurate referrals to specialist palliative care services.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a research-related team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience within the higher education and/or healthcare sectors in Australia will be highly regarded.

A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as health sciences, social sciences, or a related discipline, is essential. The successful candidate will also possess strong organizational skills, with the ability to plan ahead, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
