Job Overview

The Facade Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the façade installation design to installation process on construction projects. This includes coordinating design, procurement, installation and compliance to ensure quality, safety, efficiency.

Main Responsibilities

  • Procurement & Record-Keeping: Manage ordering of façade materials, track deliveries, maintain accurate records to ensure timely cost-effective project execution.
  • Sample Submissions & Approvals: Organize oversee submission of façade samples ensuring compliance with project specifications securing approvals before installation begins.
  • International Coordination: Liaise with overseas suppliers teams manage inspections approvals deliveries of façade materials.
  • Engineering & Design Coordination: Compile organize engineering data review design documents ensure all façade elements meet project specifications.
  • Delivery & Quality Control: Oversee receipt of façade materials verify against delivery dockets report damages discrepancies maintain defects register.
  • Façade Protection & Defect Management: Ensure façade elements are protected on-site manage defects register coordinate resolution of any installation issues.
  • Subcontractor & Supplier Management: Select coordinate oversee subcontractors suppliers ensuring quality timely execution of façade installation.
  • Project Scheduling & Compliance: Maintain façade project timelines monitor installation progress ensure adherence to safety quality regulatory standards.
  • Installation Oversight & Training: Provide guidance lead hands on installation requirements ensure compliance best practices project-specific guidelines.
  • On-Site Quality Assurance & Handover: Conduct regular quality checks oversee handover process ensure principal is informed maintenance care requirements.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Reporting: Facilitate clear communication internal teams clients external partners documenting project progress challenges.
  • Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement: Troubleshoot technical challenges implement value management strategies contribute process improvements future projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree: Architecture Civil Engineering Construction Management related field required.
  • Minimum Experience: 2 years façade coordination construction industry showcasing progressive responsibility hands-on experience.
  • Knowledge & Skills: In-depth knowledge various façade materials construction methods system design.
  • Project Lifecycle Experience: Coordinate lifecycle façade projects conception completion.
  • Large-Scale Project Coordination: Proven track record coordinating managing large-scale projects adherence timelines budgets.
  • Building Codes & Regulations: Comprehensive understanding building codes regulations industry standards façade systems.
  • Design Software: Familiarity design software AutoCAD BIM relevant technical tools.
  • Tech Interpretation: Ability interpret architectural drawings specifications technical documents.
