Job Title: Student Wellbeing and Behaviour Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as a Student Wellbeing and Behaviour Support Specialist. This is a temporary full-time position, commencing in a Catholic school system.

This role is an integral part of the work of the Improvement, Learning and Wellbeing service area as part of the Wellbeing and Student Support team (WSS) K-12. The position has a focus on supporting students with social, emotional, behavioural, and wellbeing needs across the diocesan system of schools.

The successful applicant will be required to work closely with families, relevant external agencies, and various key stakeholders to support individual case management and the implementation of Positive Behaviours for Learning (PB4L).

The role involves high-level collaboration to develop, deliver, monitor, and evaluate ongoing personal and professional learning formation and growth experiences for school staff and others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with social, emotional, behavioural, and wellbeing needs
  • Collaborate with families, external agencies, and stakeholders to implement PB4L
  • Develop, deliver, monitor, and evaluate personal and professional learning experiences
  • Work closely with the WSS team and ILW service area

Essential Criteria:

  • A deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of a Catholic school
  • Highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to the Continuous Catholic School Improvement Framework
  • Recent and significant postgraduate training or qualifications in student wellbeing and/or behaviour support

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience as a middle leader or above in a school or educational services setting
  • Demonstrated understanding and/or experience in supporting complex student needs
  • Demonstrated understanding of CEDoW Student Pastoral Care and Wellbeing Policy

Requirements:

  • Accredited with NESA to teach in NSW
  • Minimum 10 years teaching experience
  • Accredited to Level C in accordance with the Work, Teach and Lead Policy
