We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Quality Assurance Engineer II. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.
Job Description:In this position, you will be responsible for providing quality assurance support to ensure that our purchased parts and manufactured goods conform to company standards for design, procurement, manufacture, and reliability.
You will develop, apply, and maintain quality requirements during product design and manufacturing, assist in meeting department goals, and implement Continuous Improvement activities using Six Sigma tools and practices.
You will also support operations by analyzing and resolving product and process problems with Six Sigma methodologies, audit manufactured goods for conformance to engineering and manufacturing standards, engage with contract manufacturers for product transfer, new product introduction, and change management, report on quality trends, and recommend improvements.
You will perform First Article Inspection (FAI) on PCBA's, parts, and systems, conduct supplier audits, participate in NPI meetings, and perform root cause and corrective action analysis for failures.
You will assist in supplier quality system audits and process audits at supplier sites, travel may be required, collaborate with inspectors and engineering to resolve quality issues and improve drawings, and support other design, development, and quality tasks as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 4 years' experience in Quality or equivalent.
- Experience in manufacturing, preferably in electronics or PCB design.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, 8D methodologies, and tools.
- Familiarity with quality and LEAN processes, techniques, and tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Minitab SPC.
- Motivated, independent, and collaborative with good communication skills.
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally.
- Additional training in ISO 9001 auditing, GD&T, and IPC standards is a plus.
- Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. and compliance with export control laws.
- Handling, hearing, kneeling, reaching, seeing, talking, working alone and around others.
