Job Opportunity: Geotechnical Leader

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled leader to join our geotechnical team in Queensland.

This is a senior role that requires a deep understanding of geotechnical engineering, tunnel design and construction, and project delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping our approach to ground engineering challenges, driving innovation in tunnelling design and construction, and ensuring project delivery meets the highest standards of safety, sustainability, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and champion the vision, strategy, and roadmap for geotechnics and tunnelling
  • Lead all technical aspects of ground engineering, from site investigations and risk assessments to tunnel design, construction techniques, and ground improvement
  • Deliver high-level technical oversight across complex projects, ensuring solutions are innovative, cost-effective, and technically sound
  • Set and enforce rigorous quality standards, driving best practices and compliance with codes, regulations, and safety benchmarks
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
  • Chartered Engineer status or equivalent
  • 20+ years of progressive experience in geotechnical and tunnelling, including 8+ years in senior technical and leadership roles
