Industrial Automation Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Automation Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, testing, commissioning, and support of industrial automation systems and digital solutions.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial automation systems, including process control, telemetry, and digital solutions. They will be responsible for leading projects from conception to completion, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent technical skills, as well as strong communication, time management, and organizational abilities. You will be working independently, managing multiple priorities, and making decisions that impact the success of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, commission, and support industrial automation systems and digital solutions.
  • Lead projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with quality procedures and manage individual priorities.
  • Perform onsite project work and report variations and risks.
  • Maintain technical skills and contribute to innovation and process improvement.
  • Manage customer expectations and relationships professionally.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in industrial automation engineering, including digital solutions and networking.
  • Minimum 500 hours of customer/site experience.
  • Advanced understanding of various Schneider platforms and a general understanding of industry product offerings.
  • Sufficient domain experience to competently interpret process descriptions and develop technical designs.
  • Detailed knowledge of theory relevant to position (process control, telemetry, digital solutions and communication/info system).
  • A growth mindset through well-developed digital skills and technical aptitude.
  • Strong communication, time management, and organisational skills.
