The City of Cockburn is a dynamic and rapidly growing local government, providing its employees with generous employment conditions and highly desirable lifestyle benefits. We're seeking a passionate and experienced person to join our expanding Advocacy and Community Engagement team.

This role involves advising City staff and management on planning and implementing community engagement projects, in line with our IAP2-based Community Engagement Policy and Framework. You'll work alongside various departments, liaising and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

We're looking for a self-motivated team player with experience in community consultation and strong communication skills. You'll be a practiced writer with great computer literacy and a comprehensive knowledge of public relations.

  • Excellent understanding of best practice community engagement principles (experience with IAP2 will be highly regarded).
  • Ability to develop, design and deliver community engagement plans for a variety of projects.
  • Experience with online community engagement platforms such as Bang the Table/Engagement HQ.
  • Highly developed communication and relationship building skills.
  • Relevant or related tertiary qualification.

Salary: $97,455 - $104,959 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
