Job Overview

The role of Senior Commercial Analyst involves contributing to the Market Management group by working on various initiatives to enhance efficiency.

This includes consulting with stakeholders, writing reports, and representing market positions at industry forums.

About the Position
  • Consulting with internal and external stakeholders to influence process design and operational tools delivery.
  • Reporting and support for written regulatory submissions and market consultations.
  • Ensuring operational processes align with market rules and production cycles.
  • Contributing to industry reform projects through rule interpretation and system development.

This position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as experience operating in a legal, compliance, and rules-based environment.

Essential Qualifications
  • A degree qualification in economics, commerce, finance, or information systems is mandatory.
  • Strong related work experience in the Energy industry, with consideration given to relevant experience in utilities.
  • Excellent written interpretation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to draw conclusions from data and rule inputs.
  • Experience operating in a legal, compliance, and rules-based setting.
  • A sound understanding of energy market structure, NEM, WEM, or gas markets with knowledge of settlement or prudentials processes is advantageous.
