Job Title: Senior Project ManagerLead Electrical Power Distribution and Transmission System Projects

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Project Manager to lead our electrical power distribution and transmission system projects from 11kV to 132kV. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional to take on a senior role, overseeing multiple project managers and ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects.

About the Role:
  • Lead a team of project managers in the management and execution of electrical network projects.
  • Provide supervision and direction to project managers to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Oversee tasks allocated to others to pursue effective project delivery.
  • Appraise direct reports regularly to develop their skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
  • First-line problem solver with excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Efficiently execute the project management role on multiple projects running concurrently while managing a team of project managers.
  • Resource control: Organise, control, and deploy materials/equipment/labour resources for upcoming works on a range of projects.
  • Good commercial awareness and completion of valuations against a set scope.
Requirements:
  • HNC/Degree in Electrical Engineering (and/or time served).
  • Good operational knowledge of electrical power distribution systems.
  • Site safety passport and/or experience of working on CDM sites.
  • Possession of SSE DNO authorisation to receive and cancel PTW (or alternative equivalent DNO authorisation).
