About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Aged Care Support Worker to join our team at Uniting. As a Home Care Assistant, you will provide care and companionship for older people living in their own homes, helping to empower their independence and improve their quality of life in Menindee and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care, including assistance with showering, dressing, mealtime support, and medication administration
  • Assisting with home assistance, such as housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation
  • Transporting clients to appointments, shopping trips, and social support activities
  • Providing social interaction, client observations, and ongoing training and support

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent
  • Provisional or full Australian driver's license and access to a full comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Previous experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin your career in aged care
  • Flexible and prepared to help meet the changing needs and schedules of our home care clients
  • Empathetic and resourceful, with a commitment to Uniting's values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold
