Chief Digital Transformation Officer

As the Chief Digital Transformation Officer, you will lead and manage the department's digital strategy. This includes the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive digital plans, information management policies, and security procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide strategic leadership to the digital services team in activities such as strategic planning and digital governance.
  2. Build and maintain stakeholder partnerships through effective communication, negotiation, and issues management.
  3. Lead the development and implementation of the department's digital plan, governance frameworks, policies, and strategies to advance the department's digital priorities.
  4. Drive whole-of-department technology outcomes by actively participating in digital steering committees and working groups.
  5. Provide strategic and technical expertise to the business in the design, review, and development of information management policies, standards, procedures, and practices.
  6. Monitor and manage ICT risk, corporate reporting, and governance frameworks by working collaboratively with executive management.
  7. Build collegiate relationships with executive management teams and internal service providers to promote continuous service improvement.
  8. Manage relationships with external service providers to meet business requirements.
  9. Represent the department in whole-of-government digital forums and interjurisdictional activities to support the department's digital transformation objectives.
  10. Identify and advocate for ICT opportunities to drive improvements and benefits.
  11. Integrate ICT governance and assurance activities into the business through strategic advice, guidance, and delivery.

The ideal candidate will have highly developed communication, interpersonal, presentation, and consultation skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence relationships with key stakeholders across all organizational levels.
