Technical Documentation Specialist

The role of Technical Documentation Specialist involves creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation to support the successful implementation and ongoing operation of system upgrades across multiple RAAF sites.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional to join our project team and contribute to the modernisation of Australia's critical air defence infrastructure. As a Technical Documentation Specialist, you will work closely with technical teams to document system modifications, integration approaches, and operational procedures.

  • Support the development and maintenance of technical publications and ILS documentation
  • Create and update training materials, operational procedures, and maintenance workflows for system operators and maintainers
  • Collaborate with technical teams to document system modifications, integration approaches, and operational procedures
  • Maintain configuration management documentation and coordinate with stakeholders to validate technical content

We are seeking a candidate with strong experience in technical documentation for complex systems integration projects. A University Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or Technical Writing is essential, as well as demonstrated experience in working within structured documentation frameworks and configuration management systems.

A strong understanding of ILS principles and documentation requirements, as well as proven ability to translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly documentation, are also required.
