The role of System Administrator is crucial in ensuring the seamless operation of the Air Component Command and Control Capability System (AC-C2CS). This mission-critical software application suite supports the Australian Defence Force.
Main Responsibilities- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of AC-C2CS infrastructure to guarantee high availability, performance, and reliability across Defence environments.
- Technical Support: Provide timely assistance to end-users, diagnose system issues, and coordinate with engineering teams for escalated matters.
- Configuration Management: Manage system configurations and implement approved changes in line with Defence protocols and change management procedures.
- Security and Compliance: Uphold security standards, apply patches and updates, and support accreditation and audit activities to meet Defence cybersecurity requirements.
- Collaboration and Process Improvement: Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for enhancements and contribute to process improvements.
- Proven experience with Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (e.g., VMware), and networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Defence security standards, patching, system hardening, and accreditation processes.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and collaborate effectively with Defence stakeholders and technical teams.
