Job Title: Farm Manager
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Farm Manager to join our client's team. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the property, including livestock management, pasture improvement, and crop planning.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a strong background in agricultural operations, with experience in managing large-scale farming operations. You will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing annual cropping and pasture improvement plans
- Managing livestock health and welfare, including vaccination programs and parasite control
- Coordinating with contractors and suppliers to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Leading a team of staff to achieve business objectives
- Monitoring and maintaining equipment and infrastructure
- Collaborating with the senior leadership team to develop and implement business strategies
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in agricultural operations, preferably in a senior management role
- Strong knowledge of livestock and pasture management, including crop planning and soil conservation
- Basic machinery operation skills and understanding of agricultural software
- Excellent leadership and staff management skills
- Commitment to safety and sustainability
