Job Title:

Unified Communications Engineer

About the Role:

This is a six-month contract position within a key federal government department in Canberra, ACT.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft 365 and experience as a Unified Communications Engineer or in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and maintain the Microsoft 365 environment, including user and license management.
  2. Support the Microsoft Teams platform, including policies, settings, and advanced calling features.
  3. Design and implement telephony hardware solutions, with a focus on Session Border Controllers (SBCs).
  4. Administer and maintain SharePoint Online, including site and permission management.
  5. Manage and support the Exchange Online environment, including mail flow and mailbox administration.
  6. Configure and manage device policies for iOS and Android mobile devices.
  7. Administer and maintain the FortiMail security platform.

A strong understanding of Session Border Controllers (SBCs) and telephony hardware is essential. Knowledge of SharePoint Online and FortiMail is highly desirable.
