We are seeking a highly skilled Archaeology Expert to join our team in Port Melbourne. This exciting opportunity will see you contribute your expertise to various projects, with a primary focus on Aboriginal archaeology and historical archaeology.
As a key member of our team, you will have the chance to work on a range of projects, including Cultural Heritage Management Plans, Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Due Diligence Assessments, and Historical Impact Statements. Your field experience is crucial, and previous consulting experience will be highly valued.
Your ability to adapt to diverse projects and locations will be essential as you will work on multiple assignments with varying demands. Flexibility and a willingness to travel are also required.

This role requires:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Archaeology (Honours level or equivalent preferred)
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in consulting with a focus on historical archaeology and/or Aboriginal cultural heritage
- Recognised as a Heritage Advisor in accordance with the Minister's Guidelines on Heritage Advisor Qualifications and Experience
- Project management skills, including managing small budgets and delivery within set timeframes
- Sound proposal and report writing skills
- Understanding of Commonwealth and Victorian legislation and guidelines
- Willingness to undertake periods of fieldwork in both urban and remote locations
