Our organization seeks a seasoned leadership professional to serve as Director, Stakeholder Engagement and Government Relations.

About the Role

This senior-level position entails high-level coordination and advisory services, encompassing external relationships with Ministers and senior industry stakeholders.

  • Provide strategic counsel to executive leaders on stakeholder engagement and government relations initiatives.
  • Nurture and maintain effective partnerships with diverse stakeholders, including Ministers, government officials, market bodies, and industry advocates.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive engagement plans, offering expert guidance on engagement activities.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, efficiently managing competing priorities and multiple tasks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Required Expertise
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and government relations, preferably within a Federal or State Government context.
  • Strategic advice and management of government relations initiatives for senior leaders.
  • Development and coordination of time-sensitive briefings and other key communications.
  • Building and maintaining senior executive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Effective operation in a high-pressure environment, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing demands.

A successful candidate will be a personable and collaborative leader who can establish rapport quickly and work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
