About the Role

We are seeking a Metallurgy Process Lead to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a high-performing individual with strong leadership skills and practical experience in plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Taking ownership of personal safety and that of colleagues through proactive approach towards behavioural safety, hazard identification and risk management.
  • Fulfilling all statutory responsibilities in accordance with applicable legislation and regulations.
  • Leading and influencing metallurgical and laboratory teams to ensure business requirements and quality are met safely.
  • Providing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports/presentations on metallurgy activities as required.
  • Being involved in the capital budgeting process and completing capital projects assigned to your work group within budget and time frames provided.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Metallurgy, or in Chemical or Process Engineering.
  • A proven leader of teams - strong leadership track record required.
  • Significant practical experience in plant operations and with process control systems.
  • +5-8 years in a Metallurgical Superintendent role.
  • Strong communication skills, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset and ability to devise proactive solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for process improvement and problem-solving.
