About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our platform engineering team at Dovetail. The ideal candidate will have experience working on complex platform projects and a passion for delivering high-quality, scalable solutions. This role involves owning the technologies that power our engineering, supporting high-quality product infrastructure, and helping mature our operational health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the technologies that power our engineering, including cross-cutting technologies that support all Dovetail engineers in delivering value to our customers.
  • Support high-quality product infrastructure, participating in the design and implementation of technical solutions for Dovetail's platform.
  • Help mature our operational health by promoting operational practices within our platform and product teams.
  • Support other engineers in continually improving our software practices through code review, pair programming, design sparring, and career growth.
Requirements
  • Experience working on platform engineering projects, with a focus on technologies such as TypeScript, GraphQL, Aurora PostgreSQL, AWS, containerization, and serverless technologies.
  • Ability to play a significant role in the delivery of complex features, understand requirements, and drive quality.
  • Pragmatic and flexible approach to problem-solving, with a keen eye for quality and a willingness to adjust to shifting deadlines and project goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate effort vs impact tradeoffs and convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
