Youth Mental Health Specialist

This is a pivotal position within our mental health services, focused on delivering high-quality support to young individuals aged 12–25 years. As a Mental Health Clinician, you will play a critical role in promoting evidence-based clinical practice and contributing to early intervention youth mental health services.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health, with a focus on psychological interventions and clinical assessments for young people with low to moderate mental health concerns. Collaborating with our Clinical Lead and Centre Manager, you will determine the appropriate clinical pathway for each young person.
You will be responsible for providing tailored support, working closely with the client and their family to address specific needs. This may involve developing and implementing individualized care plans, collaborating with external services, and participating in regular case review meetings to ensure optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality mental health services to young individuals, focusing on psychological interventions and clinical assessments
- Collaborate with the Clinical Lead and Centre Manager to develop and implement effective care plans
- Work closely with clients and their families to address specific needs and goals
- Participate in regular case review meetings to ensure optimal outcomes
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A degree in counselling, social work, or psychology
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a qualified mental health professional
- Knowledge of the National Standards for Mental Health Services and supporting new graduates towards independent practice
- Experience with Family Systems Theory, Trauma Informed Care, and systemic approaches
- Current, unrestricted 'C' class Australian Driver's Licence
- Right to live and work in Australia
