Fleet Officer Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Officer to drive effective procurement practices for the purchasing of fleet, plant and equipment. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient acquisition, management and disposal of the City's plant and fleet assets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure plant and fleet are fit for purpose.
  • Act as a first point of contact for all interactions with stakeholders and external providers.
  • Research, reconcile and undertake financial processes including procurement and budget reports.
  • Manage the tender process for the City's fleet and plant including the development of tender specifications and tender documents, reviewing submitted tenders and ensuring the evaluation process is detailed to the City's procurement standards.
  • Ensure effective supervision of contracted external Fleet Management providers and associated contracts/agreements.

Key Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge and experience in fleet and plant management including procurement, plant maintenance and plant management, along with the ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
