About the Role

UNSW is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to fill the position of Student Wellbeing Coordinator. As part of our commitment to student wellbeing, we are looking for an individual who can provide expert guidance and advice on issues impacting student welfare, participation, retention, and success.

In this role, you will work closely with students, academic and professional staff, and local services to provide wellbeing care services for students with social, emotional, health, and wellbeing needs. You will be responsible for triage, assessment, and short solutions-based therapy, as well as developing a work schedule to ensure on-campus availability and capacity to travel and attend other campuses as required.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have relevant tertiary qualifications and subsequent experience in Psychology, Counselling, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, or Mental Health Nursing, with registration or eligibility for registration with the appropriate accrediting body. You will also need to have demonstrated experience working with individuals who have psychosocial support needs, conducting psycho-social needs and risk assessments, and undertaking short-term therapeutic interventions.
