At AMES Australasia, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team based in our Doncaster Head Office. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in supporting our business leaders and staff across various sites to ensure compliance with WHS, workers compensation, and RTW requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing HR programs, policies, and procedures
  • Ensuring adherence to corporate guidelines and compliance
  • Providing high-quality support and advice on HR matters, including employee welfare, performance management, policy interpretation, wellness, and health
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal, IR, award, regulatory, and Company WHS compliance requirements
  • Developing and producing various HR reports and statistics
  • Working closely with the Head of People and Culture to ensure learning and knowledge sharing across all HR and business teams

Requirements:

  • Tertiary degree in Human Resources or similar qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience in the HR Generalist space
  • Sound knowledge of employment law, Industrial relations, and fair work practices
  • Strong communication, computer literacy, and time management skills
  • Ability to "manage up" and work with company leaders in a constructive and collaborative way
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in an evolving environment
  • Curiosity and empathy, with an eye for the bigger picture
