Job Overview

The role of a Grader Operator is to operate machinery efficiently, safely and competently to ensure maximum output. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures, and responding to instructions from a Mining Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate machinery efficiently, safely and competently to ensure maximum output
  • Comply with company policies and procedures
  • Respond to instructions from the Mining Supervisor
  • Ensure floor levels are maintained
  • Minimise dilution and achieve design parameters within acceptable tolerances
  • Maintain stockpiles, dumps and haul roads to ensure flow in a safe and efficient manner
  • Operate, drive and move material as directed to prepare operating areas and roads
  • Set and maintain high housekeeping standards
  • Carry out pre-start checks
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years experience operating a CAT 16M Grader or equivalent in a production mining operation
  • Possess strong mining operational skills and be able to demonstrate ability in maintaining pit floors and bunds in a mining production environment
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of ore mark ups and pit configuration
  • Valid Australian Driver's License
  • Proven commitment to health and safety at all times
