Casual Learning Support Assistant

Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of students with learning difficulties?

Waverley Christian College is seeking casual Primary Learning Support Assistants who desire to play a vital role in creating an inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive.

This role involves providing support to students to engage in school and class activities, allowing them to reach their full potential.

You will work collaboratively with our dedicated team to deliver high-quality educational experiences for our students.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing individualized support to students with learning difficulties
  • Assisting teachers with lesson planning and implementation
  • Helping students with homework and assignments
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with students and staff

Requirements:

  • Certificate III or Certificate IV in Education Support or willingness to study towards one
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual
  • Good administrative and Microsoft Office 365 skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Application Instructions:

Applicants are required to submit a Resume, Letter of Application, Pastoral Reference Letter, and complete screening questions as part of the application process. Applicants will also need to provide a list of three referees.

Mandatory requirements prior to being hired include a Working with Children's Check and a Police Check less than three months old. Additionally, a First Aid Certificate (HLTAD011) and Anaphylaxis Certificate are required prior to starting in the role.
