Job Opportunity: Entry Level Damage Prevention Field Technician

Protect underground infrastructure and ensure public safety as a hands-on entry-level technician.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visit active job sites to observe digging activities and ensure safety rules are followed.
  • Work directly with homeowners, contractors, and utility crews to support safe digging practices.
  • Learn to identify and mark underground utility lines using provided tools and technology.
  • Assist with verifying and updating utility line markings as needed.
  • Keep simple records of site visits, conversations, and activities using company tools.
  • Support regular checks to help ensure markings are accurate and safety procedures are being followed.
  • Take care of assigned tools, equipment, and vehicle with basic upkeep.
  • Respond to job site requests or support the team during time-sensitive situations.
  • Be an active part of a safety-first culture by working closely with teammates and learning best practices.
  • Take on other tasks as assigned by a supervisor as you grow into the role.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn are necessary.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills are essential.
  • The ability to work independently in the field, problem-solve, and adapt to changing conditions on job sites is required.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary for this position.
  • Familiarity with 811 dig laws and safe excavation practices is preferred but training will be provided.
