
Customer Inventory Specialist

Are you looking for a role where you can contribute to the execution of a joint supply chain strategy? As a Customer Inventory Partner, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of strategic forecasting and inventory projects.
The purpose of this role is to exceed customers' service expectations by generating detailed, accurate and insightful reporting. You will also be required to analyse and improve complex supply chain systems, whilst continuously challenging all aspects of our end-to-end supply chain model.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the delivery of strategic forecasting and inventory projects as requested by the Supply Chain Manager.
- Ensuring appropriate system input parameters such as safety stock overrides, optimal replenishment quantity, and lead-times.
- Supporting the strategic sales team to promote, educate and facilitate customer demand profiling. This includes attending customer sites with the sales teams as required.
- The use of data to improve supply chain performance and overall business outcomes.
- Developing relationships with the customer's inventory planners by introducing regular cadences to understand, demand forecast, potential system limitations, upcoming projects or any other opportunity for service improvement.
- Proactively collaborating with cross-functional teams to assist in supporting daily/weekly/monthly service level targets.
To be successful, you will have:
- Detailed knowledge of inventory systems, replenishment methodologies and demand management.
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Excel, Power Query and Power Bi.
- Highly developed communication and listening skills.
- The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, effective time management and problem-solving capabilities.
- Continuous improvement mindset, with a collaborative and solutions focused approach.
- Demonstrated previous experience in a similar role, with strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
- Tertiary qualification in supply chain or quantitative discipline and/or relevant experience in an analytical or planning capacity.
