Grounds and Maintenance Position

We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team as a Grounds and Maintenance Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the upkeep of our facilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the appearance of our site, attending to maintenance issues, and delivering exceptional experiences for our guests and residents.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain outdoor spaces through mowing, pruning, planting, and pest control to ensure a welcoming environment.
  • Carry out general repairs and maintenance across the site, including accommodation, pool areas, and equipment, focusing on quality and efficiency.
  • Coordinate contractor work and manage grounds maintenance budgets to deliver high standards within financial guidelines.
  • Conduct regular WHS checks, follow safety protocols, and ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities and incidents.
  • Collaborate with team members, respond to resident queries, and contribute to a positive, respectful workplace culture.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A 'C' class driver's licence
  • Hands-on experience in building and grounds maintenance, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond calmly in emergencies.
  • Proactive, positive, and committed to delivering high levels of service with clear communication and a team-first attitude.
  • Comfortable with manual tasks like lifting, bending, and operating tools and equipment across varied terrain and conditions.
  • Understanding of the importance of PPE and safe handling of chemicals, tools, and machinery to maintain a secure work environment.
