We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Music Educator to join our team at Sheldon College. As a Music Educator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality music lessons to students of varying skill levels and ages.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging music lesson plans that cater to the needs of students from Prep to Year 12.
- Provide individual and group music lessons, including private and group instruction.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement music programs that align with the College's curriculum.
- Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student growth and development.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in music education and implement innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
- Queensland College of Teachers Registration.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music or Music Education.
- Previous teaching experience, especially with students of varying skill levels and ages and both group and private lessons.
- Passion for music education and the ability to inspire and motivate students from Prep to Year 12 of all levels and standards.
- Refined organisational skills and effective time management skills. Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Ability to contribute to a larger Arts faculty team and attend meetings where required.
- A client-centred focus in the performance of duties.
- Patience, adaptability, and commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Proficient use of ICT systems, in particular Microsoft Office, and desirable previous experience with TASS and Schoolbox.
- QLD Working with Children Blue Card.
