Job Title: Pricing Manager

The Role:

We are seeking a Pricing Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key part in the delivery of pricing work, working with internal stakeholders to deliver updated algorithms and prices ready to take to market.

Responsibilities:

  • High-level and then detailed algorithm design, leveraging the capabilities of data analysis and modelling techniques.
  • Interpreting and applying complex models using standard pricing techniques, including GLMs, Machine Learning, Price Simulation and Rate Setting.
  • Understanding the impact of pricing on performance KPIs of various business units.
  • Managing allocated projects or assignments, including the delivery for pricing for any allocated products.
  • Recognising lead indicators of performance and have sound understanding of the impact of different drivers and actions on profit and volume outcomes.
  • Providing input into a 'best practice' standard for the later delivery of pricing for other products.

About You:

To be successful you will have:

  • A history of success in the pricing of general insurance products, particularly in commodity / Personal Lines.
  • An understanding of Business-As-Usual pricing processes, with existing relationships with Pricing's stakeholders.
  • A strong working knowledge of Earnix Price-It, including an understanding of detailed algorithm specification and data structures.
  • The ability to analyse, interpret and extrapolate statistical and technical pricing data from a number of sources and resolve issues.
  • The ability to communicate complicated concepts verbally and in writing in a simple, professional manner.
