Registered Nurse Job Description

Cossington Surgical Ward is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care to join our nursing team.

As a Registered Nurse, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing evidence-based nursing care that meets the highest standards of quality and safety
  • Liaising effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care
  • Ensuring patient and staff safety through proactive risk management and mitigation strategies
  • Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members to deliver exceptional patient care
  • Delivering education and support to individuals/patients to enhance their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs
  • Maintaining current registration with relevant authorities
  • Demonstrating a commitment to quality patient care through continuous learning and professional development
  • Ensuring compliance with national standards and guidelines
  • Applying sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills to drive positive patient outcomes
  • Exhibiting excellent communication and customer service skills to build strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues
  • Working collaboratively and independently within a dynamic team environment
