About the Role:
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Legal Director to join our dynamic Legal team in Perth. As a key member of our organization, you will lead and manage legal affairs within VGW, providing strategic guidance, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and mitigating risks.
Responsibilities:
- Advise on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, venture capital, and other strategic transactions, including corporate structuring, due diligence, negotiation, documentation, and integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks in business transactions and activities.
- Provide strategic legal guidance on market expansion, new product launches, and other business development initiatives.
- Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company and proactively advise management on potential legal risks and implications.
Requirements:
- 10+ years post-qualification experience with relevant experience at a top-tier law firm or relevant in-house experience.
- Admitted as a lawyer to practice in Australia.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- High degree of commercial acumen to understand the business' key drivers.
- Demonstrated adherence to a high standard of professional principles to ensure honesty, integrity, and ethical decision-making in all situations.
