Job Description
Data Architect, Executive Level 1, National Measurement Institute. Join to apply for a role at the Department of Industry, Science and Resources.

The APS and the department offer a clear direction and meaningful work.

Key responsibilities include:

  • In consultation with stakeholders, map existing data holdings, inputs and dependencies impacted by the project.
  • Investigate and recommend optimisation of the use of data holdings for the different streams of the project.
  • Design and implement data architecture and integration frameworks that enable best practice data lifecycle management and ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies and regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Applicants must have demonstrated experience as a Data Architect in Australian Public Service settings. A working understanding of data security controls required by the organisation is also essential. Well-developed oral and written communication skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, including well-developed negotiation and presentation skills for diverse audiences, are crucial. The ability to build and sustain relationships; liaise with a range of stakeholders within and outside of the division, is also vital.

Adherence to the Australian Public Service Values, NMI values and Code of Conduct, and consistently behaving in an honest, ethical and professional way, is necessary.

Eligibility

To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens.

Positions require a Baseline security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
