About the Position

We are seeking a qualified Educator to join our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service on a casual basis. As an OSHC Educator, you will be responsible for the care and supervision of children before school, after school and during school holiday periods.

You will assist in planning and implementing educational activities with primary school children, such as science experiments, outdoor games, painting and musical activities. You'll have the opportunity to participate in spontaneous, multi-age play and offer planned and spontaneous play experiences for children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement engaging and educational activities for primary school children
  • Assist in the supervision and care of children before school, after school and during school holiday periods
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families and staff members
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor degree in the field of children's services or similar
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A current First Aid and CPR certification
  • A Positive Notice Blue Card or willingness to obtain one
