The consultant radiologist is responsible for delivering high-quality medical imaging services to patients.
- Providing professional leadership to clinical staff and supervising the teaching of radiology trainees, other staff, and medical students.
- Supporting quality improvement and assurance activities to ensure safe patient care processes.
- Representing the organisation at meetings and liaising with clinicians regarding service provision.
Responsibilities may include chairing a clinico-radiology meeting per week.
About YouAs a dedicated medical professional, you possess qualifications, experience, and leadership skills to deliver high-quality clinical services while contributing to teaching, research, and collaboration.
Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia as either a Radiologist or an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with Certification in Obstetrical and Gynaecological Ultrasound from RANZCOG or equivalent is required.
You are a strong communicator and role model able to teach, mentor, and supervise medical students, trainees, and junior staff.
Experience in clinical governance, quality improvement, and a commitment to research and continuing professional education are essential.
