Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Employment Specialist to join our team at SYC. As a Youth Employment Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting young people to secure sustainable employment and achieve their career goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of young people and provide intensive, individual pre-employment support to help them secure employment or education/training opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong links with local businesses, education/training providers, and community agencies to identify job opportunities and provide support to young people.
- Work collaboratively with a supportive and result-driven team to deliver quality services and achieve client outcomes.
- Develop and implement job plans that meet the needs of young people and support them to achieve their career goals.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to young people to help them overcome barriers to employment and achieve sustainable employment outcomes.
Requirements
- Experience working with disengaged young people and a proven ability to build rapport and achieve successful outcomes.
- Ability to communicate, liaise, and build networks with schools, education, employment/industry, and community agencies in a professional manner.
- Results-driven and passionate about performance, with the ability to meet/exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to understand and respond to the needs of young people with diverse backgrounds and needs.
