Job Description:

The Corporate Finance Analyst is an exciting opportunity in our Financial Control team. This role contributes to Synergy's financial strategy and governance in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will support corporate finance portfolios across treasury, insurance, and wholesale energy trading activities. They will maintain financial resilience by managing liquidity, supporting insurance renewals and claims, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, the Corporate Finance Analyst will contribute to financial modelling, risk management, and reporting to governance committees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage cash and liquidity, including cashflow forecasts, financial market transactions, and hedge accounting documentation.
  • Assist with annual insurance renewal process, claims management, and coordination with brokers and underwriters.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, including Renewable Energy Target and carbon reporting.
  • Monitor counterparty credit risk and review contract proposals.
  • Contribute to financial modelling, reconciliation of energy supplier invoices, and reports for governance committees.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.
  • Strong Excel financial modelling skills and familiarity with SAP for financial transactions and reporting.
  • Experience in treasury operations, insurance processes, or corporate finance.
  • Knowledge of energy trading market rules and renewable energy legislation.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and collaboration skills.
