Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the safety and evacuation procedures of the aquatic centre
  • Direct the day-to-day activities of café, aquatics, health club, sports programmes, private hires, events, and customer service staff
  • Manage pool plant systems, requiring technical knowledge of plant rooms and water quality principles
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to customer service excellence and a safe working environment
  • Communicate effectively with patrons, staff, and management to ensure seamless operations
  • Ensure compliance with OHS and public safety regulations
  • Manage staff schedules, including mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of OHS and public safety applications within a facility
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Current First Aid (Level 2) and Current CPR Certificate
  • National Police Check
  • Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
  • Current Pool Operations Certificate is desirable
