About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Travel Cell Lead to join our team at a large Federal Government organisation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of staff undertaking time-critical complex travel bookings to remote locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of staff undertaking time-critical complex travel bookings to remote locations
  • Work collaboratively with others to maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Undertake project activities and ensure that project tasks are delivered on time
  • Monitor team activities and ensure good governance, including quality assurance checking of travel itineraries against polling schedules, and prompt communication to travellers with their itinerary details
  • Oversee monitoring and reporting of the travel cell, including ensuring daily reporting to executive on travel booking progress
  • Work closely with Whole of Australian Government travel partners, CTM, to ensure travel bookings are progressing and on track for delivery
  • Take ownership and manage issues through to resolution
  • When required, escalate issues for guidance from more senior staff
Requirements
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to support and guide team members
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Clear and consistent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to solve problems while following guidelines and identify and escalate complex issues as required
