Job Summary:

Amazon Logistics is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Supervisor to support the Operations Shift Manager in driving innovation and execution in transportation networks. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for motivating a team of individuals to meet targets and productivity expectations in line with company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of a strong culture of health and safety practices and initiatives through compliance with legislation and policy.
  • Assist in the daily management of department duties, including tracking attendance and workflow.
  • Deputise for the Operations Shift Manager as required, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Conduct debriefs of all staff, ensuring accurate and complete paperwork.
  • Carry out duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assign work to staff as required to support workflow and daily metrics.
  • Support the Operations Shift Manager in ensuring sufficient resourcing, including call-outs for training needs, absence, and performance management.
  • Assist with the training of new associates to ensure they have the necessary knowledge to perform tasks.
  • Assist the Operations Shift Manager in tracking, trending, and reporting of departmental metrics.
  • Contribute to the analysis and understanding of reasons behind success and failure in meeting departmental and Delivery Station goals.
  • Track and report hours and schedules for Associates.
  • Resolve process-related area issues as required.
  • Ensure equipment defect reporting is completed to a high standard.

Requirements:

  • Experience with data analysis.
  • Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in logistics.
  • Experience in warehouse operations.
