About Our Mental Health Professional Role

This role requires delivering best-practice assessment, formulation, and intervention for mental health disorders and other barriers preventing clients from entering employment or beginning study.

You will support customers in addressing their non-vocational barriers and developing their skills and job readiness. The role may also involve delivering training relevant to the field, consultancy with other service providers and supporting diverse customer needs.

To be successful in this role, you will require a Degree-level qualification in a relevant field such as Counselling or Social Work. You must demonstrate experience in delivering therapeutic interventions and possess high interpersonal skills, including experience in providing counselling and short-term intervention to customers with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate experience in building positive interpersonal relationships with staff and agencies;
  • Prove experience in delivering 1:1 counselling intervention and problem-solving complex presenting co-morbidities;
  • Deliver group training and psychoeducation relevant to the field;
  • Work as an independent practitioner and effective team member across multiple sites and teams;
  • Manage time effectively and possess excellent administration skills and computer literacy;
  • Work effectively with a culturally diverse range of clients, employers, and staff;
  • Employ strategies to resolve conflict effectively;
  • Show understanding of available mental health and support services.
