About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Logistics Coordinator with a boutique commodity trader located in a convenient area, accessible by vehicle and within walking distance of public transportation.

In the role, you will be responsible for processing customer orders locally and internationally. The ideal applicant will have experience in food logistics working with retail clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers regarding shipments and deliveries
  • Liaise with customs agents, transport companies, and warehouses regarding deliveries and releases
  • Update and maintain shipping files
  • Arrange transport and storage of goods
  • Ensure suppliers have relevant information regarding import documents
  • Prepare and send out shipping advices to customers
  • Arrange receipt, de-consolidation, repacking, labeling, and dispatch of samples
  • Handle AQIS/AGAL enquiries
  • Source new warehouse/transport service providers when required
  • Advise traders on transport and packing restrictions
  • Raise invoices for goods delivered
  • Set up and manage stock cards
  • Receive customer forecasts and manage stock and shipments accordingly
  • Undertake various accounting and commercial support tasks
Requirements:
  • Reliable, friendly, proactive, and professional attitude
  • Some experience in logistics or tertiary education in the field
  • Good communication skills with an eye for details
  • Good computer skills, including word processing and Excel
  • Strong ability to multi-task, manage time, and prioritize
  • Spanish as a first or second language is highly regarded
  • Willingness to work as part of a team to support colleagues on an ad-hoc basis
