Product and Development Manager

We are seeking a strategic Technical Lead to drive the design, development, and successful implementation of new technology features within our bespoke job management platform.

  • Project Scoping & Feature Design:

    Mission-driven technical project managers translate business needs into detailed technical scopes, wireframes, and user stories. They collaborate with internal stakeholders to capture requirements and prioritize the development roadmap. The goal is to break down high-level concepts into clearly defined developer tasks.

  • Team Management & Coordination:

    The technical lead manages and oversees daily activity of offshore developers ensuring timelines, scope, and code quality are met. This includes assigning tasks, reviewing progress, and maintaining clear communication channels with the dev team. Regular weekly sprints or standups help maintain momentum on feature builds.

  • Testing & QA:

    Achieving testing excellence requires developing and maintaining comprehensive testing procedures for all new features and platform changes. Personal involvement in UAT before sign-off and production deployment ensures seamless integration. Effective bug tracking, fixes, and regression testing guarantee thoroughness.

  • Implementation & Deployment:

    Coordinating and managing the release of new features into the live environment involves internal documentation and team training. Post-deployment performance monitoring ensures stability and usability. System issues or unexpected behavior are handled collaboratively with the offshore team.

  • Strategic Development Planning:

    Maintaining a clear development pipeline aligned with business goals and operational priorities drives success. Identifying opportunities to improve system efficiency, automation, and user experience boosts long-term value. Contributing to platform strategy, including integration planning and AI enhancement, supports sustained growth.

Broadened Perspective and Key Skills:

  • Strong grasp of software development lifecycle and web-based platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for translating between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in scoping, writing user stories, and QA testing.
  • Leadership and coordination expertise, particularly across offshore or remote teams.
  • Attention to detail and passion for clean reliable systems.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and driving outcomes with minimal oversight.

Necessary Experience and Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years in a technical project management software product ownership or development team leadership role.
  • Experience working with offshore developers and distributed teams.
  • Familiarity with AWS infrastructure preferred.
  • Background in field services compliance or logistics systems advantageous.
